Vesicle lesions and bronchial ulcer
Vesicle lesions and shallow bronchial ulcer in a patient with a recent VZV infection.
Bronchoscopy was performed due to persistent cough, several weeks after the VZV infection. At the moment of sampling, bronchial aspirations were negative for VZV. However the clinical history, the absence on an alternative diagnosis and the compatible endoscopic image indicated a VZV origin of the endobronchial lesions.
