Perforation of the bronchial wall
A non-coated stent is seen in the left mainstem bronchus. Previously, the patient had a bronchoesophageal fistula reparation by bronchoplasty.
Loss of the continuity of the bronchial wall: The opening is not easily seen in the first picture but close observation of the region revealed an abnormal movement of the bronchial wall, leaking secretions and air bubbles. A few days later the loss of continuity of the mucosa was evident.
Imaging studies did not confirm the presence of a fistula (i.e communication with another organ)
